After 10 odd years of making music together in several bands, Julien and Jim - two southern French birds now living in Paris - decided to form a brand new band. And so, through an act of friendship, Fast Friends came alive in early 2017.

They would go on to create an intimate and all-encompassing set of songs, most of which Jim would write and Julien would arrange.Their mutual admiration for North American artists such as Destroyer or Bill Callahan, led them to write their debut EP Unknown Homes, mixed by American sound engineer D. James Goodwin (collaborator of Kevin Morby or Whitney), and mastered by Phil Bova (Andy Shauf, Feist).

Their ingenious songs explore desire and lust (“Eureka”, “An Unstoppable Fire”), talk about adulthood and the passing of time (“A Sad John Lennon Tune”), or depict the middle ground between dream and reality (“Unknown Homes”).

As the title of their debut EP suggests, the duo’s music is not about answers and certainties, it's above all about the process of finding a very own identity. A task that Fast Friends is determined to tackle.
